Jonathan is a visionary artist/engineer who is the co-founder of the EatART Foundation. He and his team have built numerous interactive arts-engineeering projects which have been presented at festivals all around the world, including Mondo Spider and Titanaboa. They are currently developing an interactive exeskeleton project. Jonathan will be presenting a series of human power generating stools which his team has designed. Delyse is a psychotherapist, event producer and artist involved in the Burning Man Community for 14 years. Her achievements include founding member of the Greater Vancouver Interactive Arts Society, co-creator of a burning man theme camp, development and production of ‘ReCharge’ a fundraising event for artists where all proceeds benefit the artists, and Producer of Burn in the Forest from 2010 - 2013. Delyse designed the dragon lanterns, and inspired the collaboration of the other artists.
Jazmin creates custom handmade jewelry and developed the lovely lanterns giving our dragons fire! Michael created the circuitry and sound reactive lighting. Michael is an HVAC controls specialist, a Regional Contact for Burning Man, artist, sound technician, and event organizer who has been involved in the Burning Man Community for 13 years. Simon is a local engineer, musician, and event producer dedicated to creating interactive event spaces, building project teams, and developing the Vancouver Burning Man community. He is the current producer of Burn In The Forest, Canada's largest Burning Man Regional Event, and the founder of SynerG, a participatory community of several hundred Vancouver-area performers and supporters. Brice is a cancer patient who started a movement called Gift Economy Vancouver as an experiment to heal himself and build community. The Gift Economy movement is based on the concept of Paying it Forward. His perspective has been featured in the Vancouver Sun, The Montreal Gazette, Shaw TV, BBC and ABC News. Michael Red is a legendary figure in Vancouver's dance music scene as a producer, DJ and purveyor of all things DUB. He is a founding member of Lighta! Sound, one half of experimental dub duo Chambers, long-time collaborator with throat singer Tanya Tagaq, curator for New Forms Festival, and an ambient/experimental artist under the alias Souns.

A veteran VJ of the festival circuit and partner in SIGMA-1 Environments, Matt will be bringing his “Multiverse” installation--a universe simulator that projects a three-dimensional rendering of the Earth's galactic neighbourhood onto massive screens, giving any user the power to scroll far beyond our own solar system with a hand-controlled motion sensor device. Born in Winnipeg, Vanessa is multidisciplinary artist with a passionate commitment to creating profound social and environmental change. She has exhibited at various venues within Vancouver, often along side her longstanding collaborative partner, international award winning photographer Lung Liu. An honours graduate of Helen LeFeaux School of Fashion Design, Vanessa is currently working on a series of sculptures which examine themes of consumption, waste and excess. |
